LoungeOS in Africa
A restaurant POS built in Africa, for African conditions
Imported POS systems are designed for reliable broadband and card-first customers. LoungeOS is designed for what African restaurants, bars and lounges actually face: outages, mobile money and cash that needs watching.
30-day free trial · No credit card · Works without internet

LoungeOS is an offline-first point of sale and management system developed in Cameroon and used by restaurants, bars, lounges, nightclubs, cafés and hotels across Africa. It runs on a Windows computer inside the venue, connects staff phones over Wi-Fi and does not need internet during service.
Three things an African restaurant POS must do
1. Keep working through outages
Power cuts and internet outages are routine in many African cities. A cloud POS that depends on a connection either stops or switches to a limited offline mode with sync problems. LoungeOS runs on your local network, so service continues as long as the host computer and router have power from a UPS, inverter or laptop battery. See offline POS.
2. Handle mobile money properly
Mobile money is how many customers pay. LoungeOS records MTN Mobile Money and Orange Money payments with their transaction reference, alongside cash and card, and splits one bill across several methods. That reference is what lets you catch fake confirmations at closing. See mobile money payments.
3. Stop cash and stock leaks
Cash-heavy businesses lose money through deleted items, unauthorised discounts and missing bottles. LoungeOS gives each staff member a role and a login, requires a manager for sensitive changes and a reason for every cancellation, and logs everything. See loss prevention.

A note on e-invoicing and fiscal devices
Several African tax authorities now require electronic invoicing or certified fiscal devices for some or all businesses. Examples include Kenya’s eTIMS, Rwanda’s EBM and Tanzania’s EFD. LoungeOS does not currently connect to these systems. If your country requires certified invoicing, check with your tax adviser how it fits alongside your POS before you subscribe. Tell us at hello@loungeos.app which integration you need, because country demand decides what we build next.
Regional pricing
LoungeOS prices are set by region so the system stays affordable where it is most needed: 30,000 FCFA a month in the FCFA zone, ₦35,000 in Nigeria, GH₵299 in Ghana, R599 in South Africa, and the equivalent of US$25 in most other African countries. Yearly plans cost less per month. See pricing.
